| Raleigh Walkers |
Raleigh Walkers - USATF Club # 13-0822
The Raleigh Walkers mission is to increase fitness and health through walking. We are open to walkers of all interest levels and abilities. We encourage anyone with an interest in walking to join and become part of the program.
Using the training techniques of elite Olympic level race walkers, members will gain the cardiovascular and strength benefits that a well-rounded fitness program will provide. Members will benefit by improving their overall fitness and learning how to achieve greater fitness gains by working smarter, not harder.
The Raleigh Walkers are lead by Coach Michael Roth. Coach Roth has more than 20 years experience as a track & field athlete and coach. He has coached over 40 National Champions and over 100 All-Americans in that time. As an athlete, he has won numerous Conference Championships while in college and was a member of the National Championship Team at the 2005 USA 1 Hour Race Walk Championship. Coach Roth is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and a USA Track & Field (USATF) Certified Coach. He is also an International level Track & Field Official who has worked at 3 US Olympic Trials.
